Annual Town Meeting

The Annual Soham Town Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Town is an open public event and is held sometime between 1st March and 1st June each year. In 2020 the meeting was not convened due to the Pandemic and Government restrictions on public gatherings whilst in 2021 due to not being able to hold the meeting safely in the time frame specified the meeting will be an informal evening event). The Annual Town Meeting is not a Council meeting but the town council as one of the participants will participate alongside any other community group that wants to attend and have an opportunity to highlight its activities in the past year as well as any outline plans for activities for the coming year. Reports are heard from the Chairman representing Soham Town Council (who usually acts as the Chair to this gathering), from Community groups and invitations are extended to both your elected East Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council representatives. The Annual Meeting of the Town is specifically for town residents and the meeting is designed to allow any resident who wishes to participate to do so.

This years (2021) meeting date is Tuesday 27th July 2021 commencing 7:15pm which due to ongoing COVID issues will be an informal gathering. For current information please click here
