At its June 14th 2021 meeting under agenda item 85.21A Soham Town Council approved the request by Soham Food Bank to continue to temporarily use the back hall at the Pavilion Soham recreation ground for storage of non-perishable food and goods extending those emergency arrangements in 2020 during COVID 2020.
The arrangement for the Foodbank operating at the Pavilion has run from June 2020 up to 16th September 2021 when it changed its operations and a new routine of serving residents will take place from St Andrews Church.
At the meeting Soham Town Council also approved to offer some of this communal space to Soham Community Uniform Scheme (SCUS) which is a community group which works alongside and with aims similar to the Food Bank.
Residents should note that accommodation is for storage only-no trading or transactions will be allowed on the premises.
